The LACD is the official member body of the International Dance Sport Federation (IDSF). It currently has 13 IDSF approved adjudicators and one representative on the IDSF presidium.
Since IDSF became an associate member of the International Olympic Committee(IOC) last year, the LACD has been working together with other IDSF member countries to promote dancesport as an official olympic sport.
